Child Labor in the Mines

The children in the mines each have different views on how they get treated in the mines and also what they have to do for there jobs. Also they get paid different amounts, either in pennies or shillings, depending on the job they perform down in the mine. Many child laborers complain about overcrowding and what duties they are given. Some enjoy what they do and others have there specific problems. Mine owner William Newbould views that children should work in the mines according to there age. He says they should start working at a certain age and get different jobs depending on gender.

The Letters of Napoleon I

The censoring of newspapers, plays, books, and sermons aided Napoleon by the keeping the public people on his side instead of going against him. Also Napoleon didn't want to draw negative attention to himself.
